summer vacation

We went on a fabulous 1 week vacation to the Oregon Coast!
I had never been to Seaside before but had always heard great things about the Oregon Coast! I see why! it is GORGEOUS!
We stayed at a resort right on the ocean with a big HEATED pool, a kiddie pool w/ fountains and 2 hot tubs!
The boys couldn't have had more fun beach combing with their Gaga (and Papa & Daddy joined the last day!)


We had a blast on the beach doing everything from flying kites (Camden was a pro!) to building sand castles to writing names in the sand!


We even rode a SURREY withe the FRINGE ON TOP!!!



Both of the boys turned into absolute FISH on the trip! Camden could swim just about anywhere in the pool! and Hudson attempted the pool w/o a life jacket and could hang out under water for quite a long time! it was so amazing to watch them improve so much! I was so proud of them!!


We rode bumper cars (some of us more than once) and Camden was brave enough to ride the Tilt-a-whirl! He LOVED it!

And on the second to the last day we spent the entire afternoon and evening at the beach trying out a new sport... Skim boarding! It was MUCH harder than it looked! But Camden & Matt seemed to figure it out w/o many injuries. We even had a bonfire on the beach to finish off the evening!

What a fun filled week! We were thankful we got to go to experience the Oregon Coast and spend some family time together! What a GREAT VACATION! :)

The Puppies

We went to visit the puppies today, 3 days old and took over 80 pictures! they're just so cute! and so tiny! all around 1 pound!!

Big News from Camden & Samson (and Happy 4th!)

Camden lost his FIRST tooth!
It was such an exciting moment and one he'd been working at for months!!
and last night...the tooth fairy came! Camden was sure that the tooth fairy was going to bring him a dollar bill!
The tooth fairy was wise...not wanting to disappoint, delivered a fresh, crisp one dollar bill. (not quite the quarter I got when I was a kid!) good thing the tooth fairy keeps up with the inflation!

and that's not all the big news that happened on July 5th!!

Samson became the proud papa of 9 adorable puppies!! 2 black labs, 2 chocolate labs and 5 yellow labs!! We will visit them Sunday for the first time. We're fairly certain we'll be taking a puppy home in 8 weeks! what cuties!

So July 5th was quite the exciting day around here!

Our 4th of July was a lot of fun too.
the VERY warm day started with a squirt gun fight between Camden, Hudson & Aunt Jenny...all in their rain boots!


We spent the morning at a parade and the evening with friends. It was a great, fun-filled, exhausting day! I think the boys are still tired from all of the activity! but well worth it all!
