Emerson is 1 month old!

Emerson turned a month old on the 10th of July! Hard to believe a month has gone by already, but in other regards, it seemed as though we were in the hospital for a month...

Life at home has been great! The boys are thoroughly enjoying her... Hudson decided to eat his lunch as close to her as possible...

The boys ask to hold her about every other day...

Her first bath at home.. we decided to wash her in the bathroom sink. she's so tiny it worked quite well.

Matt takes her on field trips around the house... this was learning about chores, namely...taking the garbage out.

this is Emerson and I on her first 4th of July! We spent a fun evening at our friends, the Anderson's home. They had a block party and the kids had a ball. Emerson didn't seem to mind the fireworks, although there were no big ones.

The night before the 4th, just as we were getting ready for bed Hudson fell off of our bed, hit his head on the nightstand and had to go to the ER for stitches! Matt and he did not get home until 1am!! he got 1 stitch inside and 3 outside. He is such a brave and tough kid! He said that getting the numbing shots was really hard, but that getting the stitches was FUN!!

Matt and Camden enjoying Emerson, and discussing her little tiny parts.

here are just a few fun pictures I've taken of her since we've been home...

this picture was taken the day before she turned one month old and this was the widest we'd ever seen her eyes! we couldn't believe she had them open so big! it was nighttime and very dark, which apparently made her happy, but we were so impressed!! she rarely opens her eyes!!

her nursery is coming together. I had decided to do her room in tulips and had this idea to plant tulips in a planter. a couple of friends bought me the planter (the one that I had envisioned using) I ordered the tulips online, and my mom arranged them for me! she did a great job! I certainly couldn't have done it without her!

and lastly, here are a couple pictures of the boys on their Friday fishing/hiking outings! Matt has been taking them fishing and hiking every Friday! They are LOVING it! They leave in the morning and are usually not home until 6:00! Camden caught his first big fish, but didn't quite land it. but it was exciting for sure! what a great tradition Matt has started. I'm so thankful that my kids have such an amazing dad!!

until next time...

The boys do have an amazing upbringing and I'm glad you finally have a little girl to help balance out all that testosterone! :)
